Achmea Australlia

From Degradation to Regeneration: Achmea Australia employees visit Achmea and Land Life Project site at Killongbutta

Killongbutta is a rural area of New South Wales, Australia. For over 100 years, this region has been used for farming, but overstocking has caused its degradation. Land Life Company, working with Achmea as part of their €4 million reforestation program, is regenerating 450 hectares of this land by reintroducing endemic tree species. Achmea Australia employees visited Killongbutta recently to see first-hand the regeneration work being undertaken.

The nonprofit organization League Against Cancer has been helping cancer patients and their families for 34 years, thanks to the well-known Daffodil Day fundraising event. Wearing a yellow flower is a symbol of solidarity with people who are fighting cancer.

By doing this the Achmea foundation makes a lasting and sustainable impact on the social-economic situation of many people.

At Interamerican's headquarters operates a unique café, in collaboration with “Shedia”, with a strong social impact

Interamerican expanded its significant ties cultivated over the years with “Shedia”, synonymous in Greece for its support and reintegration of fellow human beings who are homeless or experiencing social exclusion, through a unique social project: The operation of “Shedia Home”, a distinctive café at our Headquarters, which has already become a meeting point, with our employees warmly embracing the initiative.
